ARREST AT SCENE OF DOUBLE FATAL COLLISION ON INTERSTATE 75 IN GRANT COUNTY, KENTUCKY

DRY RIDGE, KY – The Kentucky State Police (KSP) reports that on Sunday, June 9, 2024 at 11:03 p.m. KSP trooper Dicken observed a black BMW speeding on I-75 in Grant County at the 148-mile marker.

Trooper Dicken activated his emergency equipment to conduct a traffic stop but, the BMW failed to stop reaching excessive speeds. Trooper Dicken lost sight of the vehicle and discontinued the pursuit.

While traveling northbound on I-75 Trooper Dicken located the black BMW which had struck a silver KIA passenger car at the 153-mile marker.

Jody Lee Miller, age 47 of Cincinnati, OH was the operator of the BMW.

The driver and passenger of the KIA were pronounced deceased at the scene.

JODY MILLER has been charged with:

  • Operating a motor vehicle under the influence first offense
  • Vehicular Homicide when under the influence of alcohol
  • Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree (Police Officer)
  • Fleeing or Evading 1st Degree
  • Speeding over 26 MPH of the speed limit

At the time of this publishing, Mr. Miller is lodged in the Grant County Detention Center in Williamstown, KY on a 1,000,000.00 CASH Bond.
