LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Zach Allen along with Deputy Noah Ritchie arrested Nicholas Cole age 44 of Riva Ridge Trail, Corbin on Monday afternoon June 10, 2024 at approximately 2:41 PM.
The arrest occurred on McWhorter Road, approximately 1 mile east of London after deputies were dispatched by London – Laurel County 911 Communications Ctr. to a possible non-injury traffic crash there.
Upon arrival at the scene deputies conducted an investigation and determined that a driver was under the influence.
During the investigation the driver was found in possession of a suspected methamphetamine and a crystal like substance believed to be methamphetamine.
Nicholas Cole was charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence – first offense: possession of drug paraphernalia; possession of a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – methamphetamine.
This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
