SOMERSET, KY - Pulaski County Sheriff Bobby Jones reports that on Sunday, June 9, 2024, at approximately 1:49 PM, Deputy Marcus Harrison and other law enforcement officers responded to a complaint of a person who was acting suspiciously.

Before the officers arrived, they were told that a man and woman were arguing in the middle of the roadway and that the man was armed with a scythe.

When Deputy Harrison arrived, he saw a male subject walking into a tree line and a female standing in the roadway. Deputy Harrison and Deputy Jared Pierce searched the tree line but were unable to locate that person.

Deputies also located  James Matthew Mounce sitting in the same vehicle and Mounce had active arrest warrants on him. Mounce was arrested by Deputy Logan Crabtree who had come to assist.
