MANCHESTER, KY - According to the Clay County Sheriff's Office: Sheriff Patrick Robinson has reported five (5) arrests in Clay County for the period between Sunday, April 28, 2024 and midnight Saturday, May 04, 2024.
The following arrests were announced on the Facebook page of the Clay County Sheriff's Office as reported by Sheriff Patrick Robinson.
- 1. On 4/28/24, Sgt. Wes Brumley arrested Jason Smith on a warrant out of Estill County for Non-Payment of Court Costs, Fees or Fine. He was also charged with No Registration Receipt, No Registration Plate, Failure to Produce Insurance Card, and Operating on Sus or Rev Operator’s License.
- 2. On 4/29/24, Sgt. Wes Brumley, assisted by Deputy Dustin Henson, responded to a call in reference to a male subject in and around the caller’s property. Robert Goodman of Florence, KY was arrested for Public Intoxication-Control Sub (excludes Alcohol), Menacing, Resisting Arrest, Disorderly Conduct. (No Picture was provided.)
- 3. On 4/30/24, Sgt. Wes Brumley, assisted by Deputy Dustin Henson and Deputy Zach Baker, and Officer Derek Carr and Officer Brayden Gibbs of Manchester Police Department responded to a call in reference to two male subjects in an physical altercation where one of the subjects had been shot. Billy Wombles was determined to be the primary aggressor and was arrested for the charge of Murder (Attempt) and Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree.
- 4. On 5/3/24, Deputy Dustin Henson arrested Steven Hopkins for Alcohol Intoxication in Public Place (1st and 2nd Offense).
- 5. On 5/4/24, Deputy Dustin Henson arrested Brandon Holland for Burglary 3rd Degree. It was reported that the Senior Citizen’s Center had been broken into several times in the last week. Holland was identified after being seen on video footage at the scene of the crime.
