BARBOURVILLE, KY - According to the Knox County Sheriff's Department, Sheriff Mike Smith is reporting the following recent enforcement actions in Knox County.
On March 20, 2024 Deputies arrested Dannie Brown age 22 of Barbourville, KY, charging her with Possession Controlled Substance-1st Degree/methamphetamine when a small plastic bag containing suspected methamphetamine was found in her possession, She was also charged with three (3) counts of Endangering Welfare of a Minor due to having three small children inside the residence in proximity of the meth. She was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
On March 26, 2024 Deputy Jeremiah Williamson responded to a fight in progress at a residence on KY-3438 in Barbourville. Deputy Williamson made contact with Mark Smith who was under the influence and creating a disturbance. Mark Smith was arrested and charged with Alcohol Intoxication in a Public Place, Disorderly Conduct and Menacing. Mark Smith was also wanted on a Knox County Bench Warrant for a Contempt of Court charge. He was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
On March 28, 2024 LT Sam Mullins received a report of a female lying in the roadway on KY 225 in Barbourville. When LT Mullins arrived, he observed the female staggering next the guardrail. Kimberly Messer age 38 of Barbourville, KY was arrested and charged with Public Intoxication/Controlled Substance. Kimberly Messer was also wanted on a Knox County Bench Warrant for failure to pay the fines on, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of Controlled Substance-3rd Degree, Possession of Marijuana and Failure to Wear Seat Belts. She was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
On March 29, 2024 LT Sam Mullins was dispatched to a domestic violence complaint at a residence on Evergreen Road in Flat Lick. After arriving at the residence and conducting an investigation, LT Mullins arrested Charles A. Pyle age 49 of Flat Lick, KY charging him with Assault-4th Degree. He was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
On April 2, 2024 Deputy Jeremiah Williamson responded to a disturbance at a residence on Stephen Trace Road south of Barbourville. After conducting an investigation, Deputy Williamson learned that a man had damaged property at the residence as well as threatening to burn it. Jacob T. Knuckles age 20 of Barbourville, KY was arrested and charged with Criminal Mischeif-1st Degree and Terroristic Threatening-3rd Degree. . He was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
On April 2, 2024 Deputies responded to a burglary in progress at a residence on Halls Circle in Barbourville. After arriving at the location, the deputies observed a broken glass exterior door. The deputies located Jimmy Meadors age 56 of Willisburg, KY inside the residence. He was arrested and charged with Buglary-2nd Degree and Criminal Mischeif-3rd Degree. He was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
On April 2, 2024 LT Sam Mullins charged Royce T. Gray age 33 of London, KY with Criminal Mischeif-1st Degree and Leaving Scene of Accident/Failure to Render Aid or Assistance. The charges were the result of an investigation into an electronic gate at a residence on Bond Hill Road being destroyed by a vehicle being driven through it on February 20, 2024 . He was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
On April 5, 2024 SGT Jesse Smith arrested Marion Roaden age 53 of Corbin KY. on Whitely County Bench Warrant for failure to pay the fine on a Public Intoxication/Controlled Substance charge. He was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
On April 5, 2024 Deputy Jeremiah Williamson arrested Nancy R. Combs age 42 of Woodbine, KY. on a Knox County Bench Warrant for failure to pay the fines on Operating on Suspended or Revoked Operators License, Possession of License When Privileges are Revoked, No Registration Plates or Receipt ,and No Insurance charges. She was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
On April 7, 2024 Deputy Jeremiah Williamson received a complaint of an intoxicated female walking on KY 1304 in Bimble. Deputy Williamson observed Amy R. Lunsford age 44 of Barbourville, KY She was arrested and charged with Public Intoxication/Controlled Substance. She was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
On April 10, 2024 Deputies received a complaint of an intoxicated male in the parking lot of Roadside Baptist Church in Barbourville. Deputies observed Robert O. Sowders age 39 of Louisville, KY at the location. He was arrested and charged with Alcohol Intoxication in a Public Place. He was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
On April 10, 2024 SGT Jesse Smith arrested Anthony Chasteen age 45 of Paint Lick, KY. on three Madison County Bench Warrants for failure to appear on Operating on Suspended or Revoked Operators License and three counts of Contempt of Court charges. He was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
On April 15, 2024 Deputies arrested Ryan Fritz age 33 of Barbourville, KY. on a Knox County Arrest Warrant for Criminal Mischeif-2nd Degree and Assault-4th Degree. He was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
On April 15, 2024 Deputies arrested Scotty S. Elliott age 35 of Barbourville, KY. on two Knox County Bench Warrants for failure to pay the fine om a Probation Violation and Giving Officer False Identifying Information charges.. He was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
On April 15, 2024 Deputies arrested Troy Centers age 54 Artemus KY. on a Knox County Bench Warrant for failure to pay the fines on Failure to Wear Seat Belts, No Registration Plates or Receipt ,and No Insurance charges. He was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
