LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Zach Allen along with London City Police officer Ryan Jackson arrested Dennis Jones, age 30 of London on Saturday afternoon April 20, 2024 at approximately 3:15 PM.
The arrest occurred on Watkins Road, approximately 5 miles east of London after deputies and officers were dispatched to an alleged assault complaint between a male and female there.
Upon arrival at the scene responding deputies and officers reported that two persons allegedly involved in the complaint were located in the old toll booth parking lot off East Hal Rogers Parkway in separate vehicles.
An investigation was conducted and it was learned that allegedly a verbal disagreement occurred between the two adults – a male and female and that allegedly the male subject reportedly became irate and broke out the back window of the female's car.
Then, allegedly, the male subject dragged the female down the parking lot with his vehicle causing cuts and scratches on both her elbows.
Dennis Jones was charged with:
- Assault – 4th degree
- Criminal mischief – third-degree
This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
