LONDON, KY - On Sunday, April 14, 2024 at approximately 6:59 pm, Officer Jordan Childers arrested Amy S. Murphy, age 45 of London, KY.
While on routine patrol, Officer Childers was stopped at the intersection of N. Mill Street and W. 5th Street when he observed a vehicle make a right hand turn and then drive up on the sidewalk.
Officer Childers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and noted that as he approached, he detected a strong odor of Marijuana coming from it.
Officer Childers had the operator, identified as Murphy, exit the vehicle and requested that she undergo Standard Field Sobriety Tests.
Upon completion, Murphy was determined to be under the influence and placed under arrest without incident.
Murphy was later lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
Amy S. Murphy was charged with:
- Operating a Motor Vehicle U/Influence of Controlled Substance - 1st Offense.
