LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Bobby Roberts arrested John William Mitchell age 40 of Corbin on Sunday evening March 10, 2024 at approximately 5:39 PM.
The arrest occurred on I–75 ramp from KY 770 approximately 10 miles South of London following a traffic stop conducted on a vehicle whose registration plates were expired.
During the stop it was determined that the driver was driving on a DUI suspended license.
John William Mitchell was charged with:
- Driving on a DUI suspended license – third offense
- Improper display of registration plates
- Possession of open alcoholic beverage container in motor vehicle prohibited
This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
