FRANKLIN, KY – At approximately 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, September 17, 2024 the Kentucky State Police Post 3 was requested by the Simpson County Sheriff’s Office to investigate a single vehicle fatal collision. Troopers arrived on the scene at the 1700 block of Kummer Road.
A preliminary investigation indicates that a silver 2001 Infiniti operated by Jordan Klumpp, 18, of Portland, TN was traveling Kummer Road. The vehicle failed to negotiate a right curve, causing the vehicle to leave the roadway. The front passenger of the vehicle Alexander Woestman, 19, of Franklin was pronounced deceased on the scene by the Simpson County Coroner’s Office. The operator and another passenger in the vehicle were taken to the Franklin Medical Center to be treated for their injuries.
The investigation is being led by Detective Bo Hubbard. He was assisted at the scene by the Simpson County Sheriff’s Office, Simpson County EMS, Simpson County Coroner’s Office, and other KSP personnel.
