Motorcycle Rider Arrested after High Speed Pursuit and Foot Chase in Laurel County, Kentucky

LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Allen Turner arrested Jordan Martin age 21 of London on Wednesday afternoon March 13, 2024 at approximately 3:32 PM.

LSO logo Blackand Gold 200The arrest occurred on Slate Lick Road, approximately 5 miles east of London after Deputy Turner attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a motorcycle that had no registration plate on it.

The black colored Suzuki motorcycle failed to stop and fled at speeds reaching over 90 mph for approximately 6 miles before coming to a stop where the suspect attempted to flee on foot but was taken into custody.

The motorcycle driver stated he was fleeing because he had an outstanding warrant.

Jordan Martin was charged with:

  • Speeding more than 26 mph over the speed limit
  • Reckless driving
  • Fleeing or evading police – second-degree – motor vehicle
  • Operating on suspended or revoked operator's license
  • No registration plate
  • Failure of owner to maintain required insurance – first offense

In addition, this subject was charged on a Laurel District Court bench warrant of arrest charging failure to appear in court on numerous violations.

This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
