LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Zach Allen Arrested Mary E. Spears age 43 of London on Thursday evening February 29, 2024 approximately 5:33 PM.
The arrest occurred off Laurel Springs Drive, approximately 3 miles South of London after information was developed on the whereabouts of an individual wanted on an outstanding bench warrant.
Upon arrival at the scene deputies located the suspect and determined there was an outstanding warrant on her.
Upon arrest this individual briefly struggled with deputies before being taken into custody.
Mary Spears was charged on a Laurel District Court bench warrant of arrest charging failure to appear in court on charges of:
- Operating a motor vehicle under the influence – second offense
- Driving on a DUI suspended license – first offense
- Resisting arrest
This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
