LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Bobby Roberts arrested Shane D. Purvis age 43 of London on Sunday afternoon February 11, 2024 at approximately 5:08 PM.
The arrest occurred at Walmart near Corbin in southern Laurel County after Deputy Roberts was dispatched to a shoplifting complaint there.
Upon arrival at the scene, the suspect was located and found to be concealing items apparently stolen valued at approximately $500.
Shane Purvis was charged with:
theft by unlawful taking
This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
