Deputy Dispatched to Investigate Injury Traffic Crash in Laurel County, KY Locates Reported Stolen Vehicle Crashed with Driver in Possession of Suspected Meth

LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Bobby Roberts arrested Timothy Miller age 52 of Flat Lick, KY on Monday evening February 12, 2024 at approximately 5:52 PM.

The arrest occurred off Barbourville Road, approximately 6 miles South of London after Deputy Roberts was dispatched to investigate a single vehicle injury traffic crash there.

Upon arrival at the scene an investigation was conducted and it was learned that the vehicle involved in the crash, a black Nissan Altima was a reported stolen vehicle.

In addition, during the investigation the driver was found in possession of suspected Methamphetamine, and was determined to be under the influence.

Timothy Miller was charged with:

  • Operating a motor vehicle under the influence – first offense
  • Operating on suspended or revoked operator's license
  • Possession of a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – Methamphetamine
  • Receiving stolen property $1000 or more but under $10,000

This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
