Olive Hill, Ky. (December 1, 2023) – In June 2021, The Kentucky State Police was called upon to provide assistance to the Huntington Police Department in their efforts to locate an infant child.
During the course of this search, authorities became aware of a potential location in Olive Hill, Ky where the child might be found. Through a thorough and exhaustive investigation, sufficient evidence was gathered to enable the Huntington Police Department to secure an indictment for the arrest for Shannon Overstreet.
This investigation was a collaborative effort between The Kentucky State Police, Huntington Police Department, with support from various law enforcement agencies and organizations including the FBI, West Virginia Intelligence Fusion Center, U.S. Marshals Service, West Virginia State Police and Child Protective Services agencies from both West Virginia and Kentucky. The combined expertise and resources of these entities were instrumental in the successful outcome of this operation.
