TYNER, KY – The Kentucky State Police (KSP) is reporting that just before 10:00 a.m., on Monday, October 16, 2023, KSP Post 7, Richmond was contacted in reference to a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of KY-30 and KY-3629 in Jackson County.
The initial investigation indicates a 2015 Jeep Cherokee, being operated by Wanda Kennedy, 72, of Blue Ridge, Georgia, was traveling west on KY 30 and crossed the center line into the path of a 2004 Dodge Ram, being operated by Terry Crisp, 66, of Franklin, NC, traveling east.
As a result of the collision, Wanda Kennedy, 72, of Blue Ridge, Georgia, succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced deceased by the Jackson County Coroner.
Trooper Tyler Holt is conducting the ongoing collision investigation. He was assisted on scene by Kentucky State Police personnel, Jackson County EMS, Jackson County Fire Department and Jackson County Coroner's Office.
