AUBURN, KY – The Kentucky State Police (KSP) is reporting that on September 1, 2023, just before 2:30 a.m., KSP Post 3, Bowling Green received a call from the Logan County Sheriff’s Office requesting assistance in investigating a shooting that occurred at the 6499 Friendship Church Road in Logan County.
The preliminary investigation revealed Timothy S. Wright, 56 years old of Auburn, forcibly entered the residence of his ex-wife Janice Wright. Ms. Wright retrieved a firearm and a struggle ensued.
During the struggle, a round was discharged from the firearm and struck Mr. Wright.
Timothy Wright was pronounced deceased at the residence by the Logan County Coroner. No immediate arrests were made.
The Kentucky State Police was assisted by the Logan County Sheriff”s Office, and the Logan County Coroner’s Office.
The investigation remains ongoing by Det. Shae Foley.
