LONDON, KY - London Police Chief Chuck Johnson is reporting that: London Police Officer, Brent France arrested Michael P. Campbell age 39 of Manchester, Kentucky on August 24, 2023.
The arrest occurred Thursday on KY-30, approximately 5 miles north of London.
Det. Dillon Blair conducted a traffic stop on a motorcycle on Tobacco Road.
During the traffic stop, Mr. Campbell fled from police. Det. Blair activated his emergency equipment attempting to get Mr. Campbell to pull over, however he failed to comply and continued to flee at a high rate of speed in a reckless manner.
Mr. Campbell continued to travel north bound on KY-30 and drove into a grass field and lost control of the motorcycle and attempted to flee on foot.
After a brief struggle with officers, they were able to arrest Mr. Campbell and he was transported to Saint Joseph Hospital with injuries sustained due to losing control of the motorcycle.
After being released from the hospital, he was transported to the Laurel County Correctional Center
