LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Tommy Houston along with shift Sgt. Brett Reeves arrested Michael R. Medlock age 42 of Pleasant View Rd., London on Friday morning August 11, 2023 at approximately 9:45 AM.
The arrest occurred on KY 3434 approximately 4 miles north of London after deputies were dispatched to a complaint of a male subject waving his arms, screaming, yelling and creating a disturbance at vehicles as they drove by.
Deputies arrived at the scene to investigate the disturbance complaint and noted upon arrival at the scene that this individual was in the roadway and as they attempted to conduct an investigation deputies noted him having slurred speech, being belligerent and refusing to exit the traveled portion of the roadway.
This subject was determined to be under the influence and upon arrest, struggled with deputies briefly before being taken into custody.
Michael Medlock was charged with;
- Disorderly conduct – second-degree
- Public intoxication – controlled substances
- Resisting arrest
- Menacing
This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
