LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Byron Grimes along with Deputy Austyn Weddle arrested Jordan T. Gray age 27 of Keavy on Saturday night August 5, 2023 at approximately 11:15 PM.
The arrest occurred off R Johnson Road, approximately 8 miles South of London after deputies were dispatched to an assault complaint there.
Upon arrival at the scene deputies contacted both a male and female subject on the front porch of a residence there and noted both individuals appeared to be intoxicated.
An investigation was conducted and it was learned that both had been involved in a verbal dispute but that no one had apparently been struck.
As deputies were leaving the scene, deputies heard a disturbance inside the residence and the female subject yelling.
Deputies again made contact with both individuals and found the female subject with a bloodied lip and the male subject with bloodied hands and blood on his forearm.
Deputies determined that the male subject assaulted the female subject.
Jordan Gray was charged with:
- Assault – 4th degree
- Alcohol intoxication in a public place
This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
