DANVILLE, KY (April 16, 2023) – The Kentucky State Police (KSP) is reporting that KSP Post 7, Richmond was contacted just before 1:00 A.M., Sunday, April 16, 2023, in reference to a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Main Street and Second Street in Danville, Boyle County.
The initial investigation indicates an Adly moped, operated by Chadwick Thomas, 47, of Danville, was traveling South on North Second Street when he disregarded a traffic control device and traveled into the path of a Danville Fire Squad, 2013 Ford F-550, being operated by Kevin Bugg, of Danville, KY, traveling east on West Main Street.
As a result of the collision, Chadwick Thomas, was transported to Ephraim Mcdowell Regional Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased by Boyle County Coroner Eric Guerrant.
The ongoing collision investigation is being conducted by Trooper Neal Barnes.
He was assisted on the scene by Kentucky State Police personnel, Danville Police Department, Boyle County EMS, Danville Fire Department, and Boyle County Coroner’s Office.
