LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Detective Taylor McDaniel along with Capt. Richard Dalrymple are conducting a death investigation regarding the discovery of a deceased male off Marches Branch at the edge of Laurel Lake on Sunday afternoon March 26, 2023 at approximately 3:44 PM.
Sheriff's investigators report that a fisherman found the body and notified authorities.
Authorities say the deceased individual is identified as: Justin Hamblin age 34 of London.
An autopsy is scheduled in Frankfort on Monday morning to assist in identifying the cause of death.
Assisting on the case was: Kentucky Fish and Wildlife and the Laurel County Coroner's Office.
Laurel Sheriff's Detective Taylor McDaniel, the case officer, continues his investigation.
