LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Stephen Walker arrested Christopher Adam Hughes age 49 of London on Monday, March 20, 2023 at approximately 7:05 PM.
The arrest occurred off DAV Lane approximately 1/2 mile west of London after Deputy Walker was dispatched to a complaint that the caller was advising he had planted a bomb behind a business there.
Upon arrival at the scene deputies located the suspect who was screaming and waving his arms around holding a partially drank six pack of beer.
An investigation was conducted and this subject was determined to be under the influence.
Christopher Adam Hughes was charged with:
- Alcohol intoxication in a public place
- Falsely reporting an incident to law enforcement
- Disorderly conduct – second-degree
- Resisting arrest
This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
