LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Wes Brown arrested John H. Cornett, JR age 45 of London on Tuesday afternoon March 14, 2023 at approximately 4:22 PM.
The arrest occurred at a business off Adams Road approximately 10 miles South of London after Deputy Brown responded to a refusal to leave complaint at the business there.
Upon arrival at the scene Deputy Brown made contact with the suspect and learned through investigation that this subject was wanted on an outstanding warrant. Cornett was taken into custody and transported to the Laurel County Correctional Center.
John Cornett was charged on a Fayette District Court bench warrant of arrest charging failure to appear in court on charges of:
- Two counts of theft by deception – Cold checks
This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
