WOODBINE, KY (February 20, 2023) – The Kentucky State Police is reporting that on Sunday, February 19, 2023 at 5:30 PM, KSP Post 11, London was contacted by the Whitley County Sheriff’s Office requesting assistance with a death investigation involving a 3-year-old child in the Woodbine community of Whitley County
The preliminary investigation revealed Whitley County EMS responded to a residence where a 3-year-old child was unresponsive. The child was transported by EMS to Baptist Heath Corbin where the child was pronounced deceased by the Whitley County Coroner’s Office. An autopsy is scheduled in Frankfort at the State Medical Examiner’s Office.
Jordan Blake Taylor, 22 years old of Woodbine, was arrested and lodged at the Whitley County Detention Center and charged with:
- 1 count of Murder, 1st Degree
KSP Detective Logan Gay is continuing the investigation. He was assisted at the scene by Post 11 personnel, Whitley County Sheriff’s Office, Whitley County EMS, Corbin Police Department, and the Whitley County Coroner’s Office.
