GLASGOW, KY – The Kentucky State Police is reporting that on Tuesday, February 7th, 2023, Kentucky State Police Post 3 was requested by the Barren County Jailer to investigate a theft complaint involving a Barren County Deputy Jailer.
Troopers responded to the Barren County Jail to investigate.
The preliminary investigation indicates that Deputy Jailer Dustin Young, 25, of Edmonton stole money from a current inmate lodged in the Barren County Jail.
On Wednesday February 8, 2023 Mr. Young was arrested and transported to the Warren County Jail.
Dustin Young was charged with:
- Theft by Unlawful Taking Over $1,000
This individual was lodged in the Warren County Jail.
