LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Detective Robert Reed arrested Wanda L. Evans age 57 of Corbin on Friday morning September 16, 2022 at approximately 11:15 AM.
The arrest occurred in Knox County (on a Laurel Sheriff’s Office case) and the accused was transported to London and charged following an investigation conducted by the Laurel County Sheriff's office into a forgery and theft complaint.
Wanda Evans was charged with:
- 67 counts of forgery – first-degree
- 42 counts of theft by unlawful taking over $500 but under $1000
In addition, this subject was charged on a complaint warrant of arrest obtained by Detective Robert Reed charging:
- Four counts of theft by unlawful taking $1000 or more but under $10,000
- Six counts of theft by unlawful taking $500 or more but under $1000
This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional center.
