Alleged Robbery Suspect that entered a Business on U.S. 421 in Manchester, Kentucky armed with a Crowbar and took Cash Register now in Custody

MANCHESTER, KY (February 3, 2022) - The Manchester Police Department is reporting that on Thursday, January 27, 2022 a suspect was arrested in reference to a robbery that occurred at the Marathon station next to Burger King on  U.S Highway 421 in North Manchester.

Video from surveillance cameras showed a male suspect fitting the description of 43 year-old Tommy Vaughn come in to the store on Monday, November 15, 2021 at approximately 5:26 A.M. with a crowbar, and take the cash register by force before fleeing the scene. 

Following the robbery MPD Investigators conducted an extensive investigation utilizing interviews, surveillance camera footage, and search warrants. 

Along with collaboration with the Clay County Sheriffs Office the above mentioned suspect was arrested without further incident.

Tommy Vaughn was charged with:

  • SERVING BENCH WARRANT FOR COURT

This individual was lodged in the Clay County Detention Center.

According to jail records Vaughn (no address listed) was lodged in the facility on January 27, 2022 at 1:06 A.M by Manchester Police and is currently being held on a $25,000 CASH bond with no court date listed.
