LONDON, KY (October 5, 2021) -Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Hobie Daugherty along with Deputy Tommy Houston and shift Sgt. John Inman arrested Timothy Mills age 40 of London on Monday night October 4, 2021 at approximately 10:28 PM.
The arrest occurred off Talon Trail, approximately 8 miles South of London after deputies were dispatched to a physical assault in progress.
Upon arrival at the scene deputies learned from the female victim there that a male subject there had struck her in the left eye. Deputies noted redness.
The victim also advised that the male suspect had fled.
Deputies were able to track the suspect by footprints left in the dew on the grass leading them to an outbuilding nearby.
Deputies located the suspect hiding inside and upon arrest located the suspect in possession of stolen medicine belonging to the victim including:
- Clonazepam
- Alprazolam
- Gabapentin
It was learned that allegedly the suspect had taken the medicine from the female subject there.
The male suspect was also found in possession of;
- Suspected Methamphetamine
- Scissors
- A straw
- Rolling papers
Deputies noted while effecting the arrest that this subject had created a disturbance there.
Timothy Mills (right) was charged with:
- Assault – 4th degree
- Disorderly conduct – second-degree
- Public intoxication – controlled substances
- Possession of a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – Methamphetamine
- Possession of a controlled substance – third-degree
- Receiving stolen property
- Possession of drug paraphernalia
This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
