LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Matt Walker arrested Andrew Reeves, age 36, of Nicholasville, KY on Monday evening February 24, 2025 approximately 6:05 PM.
The arrest occurred on I–75 in London following a traffic stop conducted on a maroon colored Jaguar. Deputies had been dispatched by London – Laurel County 911 Communication Ctr. to a complaint of a maroon vehicle apparently driving at a high rate of speed and driving recklessly southbound on I–75.
Deputies spotted the suspect vehicle near London on I–75 and noted the vehicle was observed being operated in a reckless manner. A traffic stop was conducted and deputies noted detecting the odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle and conducted an investigation on the driver determining that he was under the influence.
In addition, this individual was found in possession of Buprenorphine that was not prescribed to him.
Andrew Reeves was charged with:
- OPER MTR VEHICLE U/INFL CONT SUB (189A.010(1D) - 1ST
- POSS CONT SUB, 2ND DEGREE - DRUG UNSPECIFIED
This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
