PERRY COUNTY, KY - On Sunday, August 15, 2021 at approximately 11:28 A.M. the Perry County Coroners Office was called to respond to Roger's Branch Road to a male that had been struck by a tree.
Upon arrival, the victim was identified as 47 year old Stacy Lynn Coots of Viper. He was pronounced dead on scene by Perry County Deputy Coroner Blake Dean.
The manner and cause of death is under investigation of the Perry County Coroners Office.
At this time it appears Mr. Coots had went into the hills on Rogers Branch where his vehicle was parked to cut a tree, the tree fell on him resulting in his death.
