SOMERSET, KY - Sheriff Greg Speck is reporting that on Thursday, July 29, 2021 a Eubank man was arrested for Murder and Burglary.
Detective Lieutenant Bobby Jones of the Pulaski County Sheriff's Office reported at 7:35 p.m. Thursday that Jesse Roberts, age 34, of Eubank, had been taken into custody by the Sheriff’s Office on an arrest warrant.
Jesse Roberts was charged with the following:
• Murder
• Burglary 1st Degree
• Tampering with Physical Evidence
• Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st Degree, 1st Offense (Methamphetamine)

Mr. Roberts was set to be arraigned in Pulaski District Court on July 30, 2021, at 8:55 AM. His bond is currently set at $250,000.
According to Lieutenant Jones, the charges stem from a July 17, 2021, report of a robbery on R.D. Floyd Road in northern Pulaski County.
Upon arrival on the 17th, Deputies determined that an altercation had occurred between David Naylor, age 49, and Mr. Roberts. According to Lieutenant Jones, Mr. Roberts and Ryan Davis told Deputies that "Naylor had attempted to rob" Mr. Roberts at gunpoint and that Mr. Roberts had struck Mr. Naylor in the head. Information gathered by Detectives contradicted Roberts and Davis’s initial claims of the robbery attempt by Mr. Naylor.
Mr. Naylor was already deceased "with obvious head injuries" when he was found at his home sometime later.
The Sheriff’s Office investigators plan to present the case to the Pulaski County Grand Jury at a later date.
“The homicide is still under investigation”, Det. Jones said. Anyone with information about the case is urged to contact the Sheriff’s Office at 606-678-5145. You can also leave an anonymous tip at 606-679-8477 or on the Sheriff’s Office web page at http://www.pulaskisheriff.com/tip.php
