LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Detective Robert Reed along with Detective Taylor McDaniel arrested three individuals on Thursday afternoon April 15, 2021 at approximately 3:16 PM.
The arrests occurred off Hopper Creek Road, approximately 8 miles Southeast of London while Sheriff's investigators were conducting a welfare check there.
During their investigation investigators located three individuals in the residence and found:
- Suspected Methamphetamine
- Digital scales
- Suboxone in a loaded needle
- Several used needles
- A Hi-Point rifle
One of the individuals there was determined to be a convicted felon.
One individual was located hiding in the attic of the residence and following a brief struggle with Sheriff's investigators was taken into custody. That individual was wanted on an outstanding bench warrant.
The three arrested individuals were identified as:
Robert Upham age 42 of Blackwater Church Rd., London charged with:
- Possession of a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – Methamphetamine
- Possession of firearm by convicted felon
Bonnie Upham age 40 of Blackwater Church Rd., London charged with:
- Possession of a controlled substance – third-degree
Daniel Nolan age 41 of Blackwater Church Rd., London charged with:
- Possession of a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – Methamphetamine
- Resisting arrest
In addition, this individual was charged on a Laurel District Court bench warrant of arrest charging:
- Failure to appear for arraignment
All three individuals were lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
