MANCHESTER, KY - Clay County Jailer Linda Smallwood is reporting that: A Clay County Detention Center employee has tested positive for Covid-19.
Other employees are now being tested and none of the inmates at the detention center have tested positive for Covid at this time.
Jailer Smallwood (left) said "We are doing everything possible to keep Covid away from inmates and staff and I plan to do more inmate screenings to make sure that no one is positive.
Please do not call the jail to ask questions! My staff is limited and we have important tasks to complete!
I will update when needed.
All visitation is cancelled for safety reasons."
