Complaint of threatening homeowners lands Muddy Gap man behind bars in Clay County, KY

MANCHESTER, KY (May 8, 2020) - The Clay County Sheriff's Office is reporting that: On Friday, May 8, 2020 at approximately 2:00 PM Clay County Sheriff Deputy Coty Arnold along with Clay County Sheriff Patrick Robinson, CSO Supervisor Dewey Grubb and CSO Deputy Darrell Goins arrested Lewis Day, 27 of Muddy Gap Road.

The arrest occurred when deputies were dispatched to a complaint of a male subject with a large knife threatening homeowners at a residence.

Upon arrival, contact was made with the subject. The subject refused verbal commands and attempted to be combative.

After a very brief struggle the subject was placed under arrest without incident.

Lewis Day was charged with:

• Resisting Arrest
• Terroristic Threatening 3rs Degree
• Disorderly Conduct 2nd
• Menacing

This individual was lodged in the Clay County Detention center.
