Kentucky’s Federal Delegation Writes in Support of Trump Judicial Nominee

United States Congress seal 600

‘The country will benefit from having this brilliant, principled, and fair-minded legal expert on this consequential bench.’

WASHINGTON, D.C.—U.S. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY), Senator Rand Paul (R-KY), and Representatives Hal Rogers (KY-05), Brett Guthrie (KY-02), Andy Barr (KY-06), and James Comer (KY-01) sent a joint letter to Chairman Lindsey Graham (R-SC) and Ranking Member Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) of the Senate Judiciary Committee expressing their strong support for Judge Justin Walker, of Kentucky, President Donald Trump’s nominee to serve on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit.

Judge Walker currently serves on the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Kentucky.

“We applaud President Trump’s decision to go beyond the Washington Beltway to choose Judge Walker, a rising judicial star with impeccable credentials, a dedication to the law, and an impressive reputation for collegiality,” the delegation wrote.

“Judge Walker is a talented and fair jurist who reveres the Constitution and our nation’s founding principles. He understands that the job of a judge is to interpret and apply the laws and the Constitution as they are actually written. The country will benefit from having this brilliant, principled, and fair-minded legal expert on this consequential bench.

“Simply put, Judge Walker will serve our country, its Constitution, and all its people extraordinarily well as a judge on the D.C. Circuit. We urge our Senate colleagues to join us in support of Judge Justin Walker’s confirmation.”
