Female victim located at a church after fleeing an alleged assault by subject with a gun

LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Sgt. John Inman along with Deputy James Fox and Deputy Justin Taylor with assistance from Kentucky State Police arrested Danny Clay Hensley age 40 of London early Tuesday morning March 17, 2020 at approximately 12:50 AM.

The arrest occurred off Hawk Creek Road, approximately 7 miles west of London after officers were dispatched to a domestic with assault.

Upon arrival in the vicinity of the complaint deputies located the female victim at a church and noted injuries to her head.

Deputies learned that allegedly Hensley had pointed a gun at her and struck her and that she had fled the scene.

Deputies traveled to the residence, arresting the suspect without incident.

Danny Clay Hensley was charged with:

  • Assault – 4th degree – domestic violence

This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
