MANCHESTER, KY - Clay County Sheriff Patrick Robinson is reporting that: On Friday January 31, 2020 at approximately 4:45 AM Clay County Sheriff Deputy Wes Brumley arrested Charles Smith, 31 of Highway 687.
The arrest occurred in the PNC Bank Parking lot when Deputy Brumley came into contact with the subject.
Through confirmation with Clay County Dispatch it was confirmed the subject had an active warrant for his arrest.
While being booked into the Clay County Detention Center the subject attempted to conceal an uncapped needle in his waist band.
Charles Smith was charged with:
• Serving Bench Warrant for Court
• Promoting Contraband, 1st Degree
• Public Intoxication of Controlled Substance (Excludes Alcohol)
• Drug Paraphernalia Buy/Possess
