Investigation during Traffic Stop in Clay County leads to arrest

MANCHESTER, KY - Clay County Sheriff Patrick Robinson is reporting that: On Friday January 31, 2020 at approximately 3:10 AM Clay County Sheriff Deputy Wes Brumley arrested Johnny Brumley, 26 of Coal Hollow Road.

The arrest occurred when Deputy Brumley conducted a traffic stop on Highway 638.

Deputy Brumley made contact with the driver, through investigation it was determined the subject was operating the motor vehicle without a license.

During the search of the subject, Deputy Brumley located a smoking pipe on the subject of the person.

Johnny Brumley was charged with:

• Rear License Not Illuminated
• No/Expired Registration Plate
• No/Expired Registration Receipt
• Drug Paraphernalia Buy/Possess
• No Operators-Moped License
• Failure of Non-Owner to Maintain Required Insurance
