CAWOOD, KY - The Harlan County Sheriff's Office is reporting that: On Thursday, January 23, 2020 Appalachia Narcotics Investigations executed an arrest warrant and search warrant in the Cawood community of Harlan County.
Arrested was Bethel Stewart, Jr (50 years old) of Cawood.
This arrest and search come after several months of investigation into the trafficking of suspected cocaine, heroin and other illegal narcotics in the Cawood area.
Mr. Stewart is being charged with:
- Four counts of Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st degree (Cocaine and Heroin)
- Trafficking a Controlled Substance within 1000 feet of a school
- Other felony offenses
As the investigation continues, more charges are possible.
Assisting ANI were members of the Harlan County Sheriff’s Office, the Bell County Sheriff’s Office K9 and Troopers with KSP Post 10.
