Clay County, Ky. (Sept.23, 2019) - A Manchester man has been charged with murder and arrested. According to Clay County Detention Center records, Ricky Wagers age 29 of Manchester is being held in the facility charged with murder.
Ricky Wagers was booked into the Clay County Detention Center on Monday, September 23, 2019 at 1:11 A.M. charged with:
- Serving bench warrant for court
- Murder
The Clay County Sheriff's Office is listed as the arresting agency.

The Manchester Enterprise is reporting that Eddie Spurlock was shot by Ricky Wagers on Sunday night at a home on U.S. 421 in the Elk Creek area and that Wagers's citation says he shot Spurlock several times with a shotgun.
So far there has been no official press release regarding the incident issued to ClayCoNews.
