Subject charged with Trafficking a Controlled Substance 1st Degree for 2nd time in less than 2 weeks / Manchester

MANCHESTER, KY (Sept. 17, 2019) - The Clay County Sheriff's Office Is reporting that: On September 16, 2019 at approximately 2:00 PM Clay County Chief Deputy Clifton Jones arrested Jeremy Caldwell, 31 of Town Branch Road.

The arrest occurred when Chief Deputy Jones responded to a two vehicle automobile accident on South Highway 421, upon investigation it was determined that the subject was operating the motor vehicle under the influence of intoxicants.

During the search, Chief Deputy Jones located scales and other illegal substances inside the car. The driver was transported to AdventHealth Manchester where he refused to submit to a blood test.

Jeremy Caldwell was charged with:

• Driving on DUI Suspended License
• Operating motor Vehicle Under the Influence of ALC/DRUGS/ETC.
• Trafficking a Controlled Substance 1st Degree
• Wanton Endangerment- 1st Degree
• Failure to Produce Insurance Card
