KSP Investigates two Deaths in Whitley County

Williamsburg, Ky. (September 14, 2019) – On Friday, September 13, 2019, at approximately 12:36 AM, Kentucky State Police Post 11, London was notified by the Whitley County 911 Center of a structure fire with two fatality’s at a residence located on Wolf Creek River Road in Whitley County.

KSP Arson Investigator Brian Lewis and KSP Detectives arrived on scene and located two deceased bodies after the fire department had extinguished the fire.

On September 13, 2019 at approximately 12:45 AM the victims were pronounced deceased by Whitley County Coroner’s office.

The victims body’s will be transported to the State Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy next date. The exact cause of death is pending. The identity of the two victims are pending positive identification.

The cause of the fire has not been determined at this time however, foul play is not suspected.  

Detective Brian Lewis and Detective’s from Post 11 London are continuing the investigation. He was assisted by Troopers from Post 11, London. Whitley County Sheriff’s Office, State Fire Marshal’s Office, Pleasant View Fire Department, South Whitley Fire Department, Emlyn Fire Department and the Whitley County Coroner’s Office.
