Kentucky man sentenced for sex crimes against a minor child

Columbia, KY. (Sept. 3, 2019) – On Tuesday, August 27th, 2019, Joshua David Gayde, age 36 of Columbia, appeared in Adair Circuit Court and was sentenced after entering a guilty plea to nine charges involving sex crimes against a minor child.

Joshua David Gayde pled guilty to:

  • Four counts of First-Degree Rape involving a child under 12 years old
  • Five counts of First-Degree Sexual Abuse involving a child under 12 years old

Pursuant to the plea agreement Gayde will serve a total of 23 ½ years in the state penitentiary.

Upon his release from prison Gayde will be required to register as a lifetime sex offender on the Kentucky State Sex Offender Registry.

The investigation in this case was led by Kentucky State Police Detective Nick Davis.
