LSO UPDATE: Laurel County Death Investigation

Laurel County, Ky. -  Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Detective Kyle Gray along with Detective Sgt. Chris Edwards, Detective Bryon Lawson, Detective James Sizemore, and Maj. Chuck Johnson are conducting a death investigation.

UPDATE: (August 30,2019 at 12:30 P.M.)  Sheriff John Root is reporting that: An autopsy was conducted on Thursday, August 29, 2019 and the state medical examiner's office preliminary report states that this death was caused by blunt force trauma to the head, torso, and extremities with further testing not yet completed.

Laurel County Sheriff's office detectives are continuing their investigation.

Laurel County, Ky. -  Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Detective Kyle Gray along with Detective Sgt. Chris Edwards, Detective Bryon Lawson, Detective James Sizemore, and Maj. Chuck Johnson are conducting a death investigation.

A male subject was found by a family member deceased inside a residence off High More Road off Sinking Creek Road approximately 5 miles west of London on Wednesday morning August 28, 2019 at approximately 7:30 AM.

The victim was identified as Terry Hammons age 51 of Lexington.

The body will be sent to Frankfort for autopsy to determine cause of death.

Investigation is continuing by the Laurel County Sheriff's office. The Laurel County Coroner’s Office is assisting.
