Laurel County, Ky. - Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Sgt. Greg Poynter along with Deputy Brent France arrested Nikki L. Reed age 31 of East Bernstadt on Friday night August 23, 2019 approximately 8:22 PM.
The arrest occurred at the Dollar General store off KY 490 approximately 5 miles north of London after deputies were dispatched to a shoplifting complaint there.
When deputies arrived at the scene and conducted an investigation they found this subject carrying a large purse with multiple items in it that belonged to the store that had not been paid for.
In addition, this individual was determined to be under the influence.
Nikki L. Reed was charged with:
- Theft by unlawful taking – shoplifting under $500
- Alcohol intoxication in a public place
This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
