MANCHESTER, KY - Clay County Sheriff Patrick Robinson is reporting that on August 24, 2019 at approximately 6:00 AM Clay County Sheriff Deputy Brandon Edwards arrested John Riley, 33 of Town Branch Road.
The arrest occurred when Deputy Edwards was dispatched to a complaint of a female possibly being held against her will.
Upon arrival of located Deputy Edwards could hear a loud verbal argument taking place inside an apartment.
Deputy Edwards observed the above mentioned subject yelling and swinging his arms and a female crying.
During the investigation Deputy Edwards noted the female had visible bruising on her arm but wouldn't admit to how she received them.
Deputy Edwards located kitchen knives on the arrested subject's person.
John Riley was charged with:
- Assault 4th Degree (Domestic Violence)
- Disorderly Conduct 2nd Degree
- Menacing
