Clay County, Ky. - Sheriff Patrick Robinson is reporting that on June 21, 2019 at approximately 4:00 AM Clay County Sheriff Deputy Brandon Edwards arrested James Smallwood, 24 of Sandhill Road and Kayla Little, 26 of Philpot Lane.
The arrest occurred when Deputy Edwards conducted a traffic stop on Highway 80 for vehicle infraction, through investigation it was determined that the driver and passenger of the vehicle were both manifestly under the influence.
James Smallwood was charged with:
- Improper Equipment
- Operating Motor Vehicle under the Influence of ALC/DRUGS/Etc.
Kayla Little was charged with:
- Public Intoxication of Controlled Substance (Excludes Alcohol)
Assisting at the scene was Manchester City Police Officer Ryan Jackson.
