Terroristic Threatening complaint / Laurel County

Laurel County, Ky. -  Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff’s Deputy Josh Morgan along with Deputy Josh Scott arrested Terry W. Bruner age 43 of Hopper Creek Road, London early Monday morning March 18, 2019 at approximately 1:45 AM.

The arrest occurred off Pine View Road, approximately 8 miles southeast of London after deputies were dispatched to a Terroristic Threatening complaint off Barbourville Road near the Knox County line.

Allegedly a male subject driving a maroon Ford F-150 had threatened to burn a female subject’s house down.

As deputies drove toward the complaint, they met the suspect vehicle turning on it and activating their emergency equipment to attempt a traffic stop, however the vehicle failed to stop turning onto Mullins Road and finally onto Pine View Road before stopping.

The driver scuffled briefly with deputies before being taken into custody.

Terry W. Bruner was charged with:

  • Operating a motor vehicle under the influence – first offense
  • Driving on DUI suspended license – first offense
  • Fleeing or evading police – second-degree – motor vehicle
  • Terroristic threatening – third-degree
  • Resisting arrest
  • No registration plates
  • Failure to wear seatbelts
  • This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
