Arrest following Single Vehicle Accident / Clay County

Clay County, Ky. -  Sheriff Patrick Robinson is reporting that: On March 9, 2019 at approximately 6:30 PM Clay County Sheriff Deputy Cody Blackwell was dispatched to a single vehicle accident with possible injuries in the Burnings Springs area of Clay County.

Upon arrival Deputy Blackwell came in contact with the driver Mickey Hubbard age 50 of Tyner, Ky.

The driver refused medical treatment and transport from Clay County EMS.

Through investigation Deputy Blackwell determined the above mentioned subject was operating the motor vehicle under the influence.

The driver stated to Deputy Blackwell that he had taken Prescription Medication prior to driving.

The driver was transported to Advent Health Manchester where a blood sample was taken from the driver.

Mickey Hubbard was charged with:

  • Operating Motor Vehicle Under Influence ALC/DRUGS/ETC. .08
  • Failure of Non-Owner Operator to Maintain Required Insurance
  • Assisting at the scene was Burning Springs Fire Department.
