Clay County, Ky. (February 16, 2019) - The City Of Manchester Fire Department is reporting that: At approximately 9:00 AM on Friday February 15, 2019 Manchester & Lockard’s Creek Fire Units were Dispatched to a structure fire with possible entrapment on Curry Branch Road off of KY-80.
Upon arrival Units discovered what was thought to be a residence was only an out building. Units extinguished the fire and determined that this fire was possibly arson and that there appeared to be no one in the building at the time of the fire.
While on scene units had a female that claimed to be the land owner became combative with them, resulting in assistance from the Clay County Sheriff’s Office.
The Kentucky State Police Arson Investigator was notified.
Units then cleared the scene with no further incident.

At approximately 2:00 PM on Friday February 15, 2019 Manchester & Lockard’s Creek Fire Units were Dispatched back to the same residence on Curry Branch Road off of KY-80 for another possible structure fire.
Upon arrival units discovered what was thought to be a residence was only another out building. While at the scene units extinguished the fire and the female that was combative before was very agitated and continued to slander and talk down to emergency personnel.
Units cleared the scene with no further incident.

At approximately 9:00 AM on Saturday February 16, 2019 Manchester & Lockard’s Creek Fire Units were Dispatched to a structure fire on Curry Branch Road off of KY-80 next to the residence they were at the previous date.
Upon arrival units discovered what was thought to be a residence was only another out building but within 10 foot of a trailer. Units provided exposure protection to the trailer and extinguished any and all fire.
Units checked the inside of the trailer that was in danger for any kind of hotspots and was unable to locate anything.
Units cleared the scene with no further incident.
The Kentucky State Police Arson Investigator has been notified of all 3 fires that have occurred at this residence in the past two days.
Assisting at the scene: Clay County Sheriff’s Office, Horse Creek Fire Department, & Kentucky State Police.
